The Residence at Littledale
Coming from Sicilian heritage and growing up in Ticino, the Italian region of Switzerland, Maurizio Modica had the opportunity to commence his culinary training at a young age. At just 15 years old Maurizio began his Culinary Apprenticeship at the prestigious four-star boutique hotel, Albergo Antico which was located in Chiasso, Switzerland.
Maurizio brings his talents and skills to the Residence at Littledale every day to create delicious and healthy meals for all of our guests. Trained in Europe, he has been the executive chef for a number of companies since he arrived in Newfoundland.
Driven by a passion for food and beverage, and a commitment of creating memorable wining and dining experiences, Maurizio has had the pleasure of utilizing his Italian heritage, international expertise and Newfoundland flare to enhance the culinary experience.
