Leigh's Baked Goods

St. John's

Chef Colin Leigh brings a unique blend of theatrical flair and culinary expertise to the Roots, Rants and Roars festival. Hailing from the picturesque Shakespearean theatre town of Stratford, Ontario, Colin's journey in the culinary world has taken him from the heart of Canada's artistic heritage to the vibrant culinary scene of St. John's, Newfoundland.

With over five years of dedicated service in St. John's culinary scene, Chef Colin has made a significant impact on the local food culture. His culinary journey began alongside his work as a hotel chef, but it was his passion for artisanal bread that truly set him on an extraordinary path.

In his quest to explore the art of breadmaking, Colin founded "Leigh's Baked Goods," a micro-bakery that started in his own kitchen. There, he crafted and sold German pretzels and simple breads that quickly garnered a devoted following. This humble beginning ignited Colin's deep-seated love for the world of artisanal bread, a passion he continues to pursue with unwavering dedication.

Chef Colin Leigh's culinary creations are a testament to his commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and creativity. With a background deeply rooted in both the theatrical and culinary arts, he brings a unique perspective to the table, where every dish is a carefully orchestrated performance of flavors and textures.
