Crystal Anstey
Wild Island Kitchen
Twillingate, NL
Crystal Anstey is a coastal chef and the founder of Wild Island Kitchen, where food, fire and place come together.
Inspired by the rugged coastline, fishing heritage and wild ingredients of Twillingate, Crystal creates culinary experiences that celebrate the flavours of the sea and the land. Her cooking is deeply rooted in place — from beach greens and Atlantic dulse to wild berries, seafood and ingredients gathered along the coast.
Through her signature From Sea To Plate experience, Crystal invites guests to slow down, gather by the water and experience food in its natural setting. Cooking over fire and surrounded by the ocean, each meal becomes more than dinner — it becomes a story of the landscape, the people and the ingredients that define the coast.
Her approach is simple: respect the ingredient, honour the place and let the landscape tell the story.
At Wild Island Kitchen, Crystal’s table is an invitation to taste the coast.
