STEPHEN QUINTON

Steve (alias; Q) entered the food industry when he assisted Chef Adam Blanchard with founding Five Brother Artisan Cheese in 2011. This journey reignited a passion for all things food in Steve that he has followed ever since. He left the Five Brothers team in 2015 and has since been working on his own skills catering corporate events with pig roasts, smokehouse barbeque, and traditional Newfoundland fish-fry’s. He can also be found catering to hunting/fishing parties, preparing meals riverside over open fires. In 2016 Steve launched his own personal brand Q’s Barbeque Catering Service, experiencing unexpected demand and growth for he unique take on the “family BBQ” and entertaining personality.[Text Wrapping Break]You can now find Q most nights at The Adelaide Oyster House, on Water Street in St. John’s “on the knife” shucking oysters.  Adelaide’s lively atmosphere pairs well with Q’s boisterous personality.  

Steve has had the pleasure of working with he’s friends during numerous food festivals in Newfoundland, such as The Gathering, Songs Stages and Seafood, Eat The Hill  and now returning in 2019 to Roots, Rants, and Roar with his signature barbecue style. Come hungry, he’ll see you in Elliston!!
